![]() You meet the nicest people at the track, especially when they share the same niche interests. I'm always looking for photos of Pete Lovely to put in an album in the Thames, and @sjautomobilia came through with this stellar shot of Pete at the April 20, 1969 Continental Grand Prix at Riverside, where he drove his trusty Lotus 49B [s/n R11] - Cosworth DFV. John Cannon's All American Racers Eagle Mk5 [s/n 509] won that day while Lovely paced himself to a fine sixth-place finish, two laps behind the Canadian. Many thanks Sean!
Hagerty's Cameron Neveu introduced himself a few weeks ago at Amelia Island. He then proceeded to startle my inbox this morning with this amazing shot from last year's Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca.
If not for the Rolex signage, you'd think the Eagle DGF and I were in the hills west of Madrid, Spain. Stellar work from an amazing photographer.
