Tanner T-5, around 1970 when it temporarily became a street machine. After Dr. O'Keefe's ownership, Faisal Meerzo made a roof for the car.
Meerzo autocrossed the machine a few times before moving to Florida, selling it to yet another fellow from Saginaw. The roof is long-lost. Probably for the best, you'd have to have been a gymnast to get over to the driver side. Martin Tanner's T-5, around the time of Dr. Edward O'Keefe's ownership of the car in 1965. It's shown at Tanner's shop in Saginaw, with a new coat of paint and a new number.
Thanks to Faisal Meerzo, who owned the car after O'Keefe, for the image. And if you like this one, wait until you see T-5 with it's roof! And special thanks to the man who is leading the march to save and preserve the history of H-Modified, Richard Campbell, for putting me in-touch with Faisal. |
