We didn't have time to lay down the vinyl before we leave for Road America this weekend with the Eagle, but we thought that you'd be happy with our progress with your Elden Mk10B.
You left us six years ago this month, and there has been nothing to fill the void left by your absence. But tracking down your Elden has been a wonderful journey. In doing so, we did something you often were able to bring into our lives- amazing people from around the world. From the Hampsheir family who built the car, to your old AmEx Cup teammate Steve Farnsworth and AmEx Cup competitor and friend Daniel Partel, to our purchase of your car and another from Frank Del Vecchio, to reconnecting with Joe Marcinski, Joby Graham and Maureen Harris, joining the gift to racing that is Paul Pfanner and the Team Elden squadron and finally texting with your brother Peter during his final days- he was thrilled we found your old machine, and was so pleased it would be run again in anger.
It was an honor in every way to bring the Elden back to life, and we can't wait to take it to the front in your memory.
