Sidehack Family Reunion

Cole Carter and his son visited with us this weekend at Road America during some downtime. Cole's father, Pancho, was the driver of the Sidehack Eagle in 1977 and had his unique nickname for the one-off Eagle: the Wounded Pelican...

Cole couldn't believe the time capsule condition of the Eagle, as if his father's fingerprints were still on the steering wheel. His Dad doesn't have much to say about the car, but we are going to have a chat soon to figure out exactly why.

And that time capsule look is largely how the Sidehack will remain, a preservation, with hopes of returning the sounds that only a 19° Drake-Offenhauser can churn out in the not-so-distant future.
