Today, Paul and Rick took Michael Argetsinger's 1973 Elden Mk10B to the Geneva Concours d'Elegance in Geneva, Illinois.
It was the first outing of the car since its restoration under Paul's meticulous eye, and undoubtedly was the car's first ever Concours outing. Forty-eight years after Michael trekked across Europe with the Elden, carrying the colors of American Express in the series he managed, his former car took home the SCCA Chicago Region Diamond Award for historical significance. And it was a unanimous vote by the judges. It says a lot about Michael, Elden racing cars and Formula Ford competition as a whole. Special thanks to Bob Stone for helping get us an entry this Spring, and as always to everyone who has supported this restoration. Its all for Mike, and we're so glad the car was so well received today. Cheers Mike! [Brian Brown Photos] |
